To paint a world with words.

To immerse the reader into the souls of everyday characters as they struggle through turbulent times in American history.

To so engage the reader in experiencing the passions, feats of personal glory, foibles and flaws and yet ever-present faith in the promise of American ideals through fictionalized people that could be themselves.

These are my reasons for writing historical fiction.

And then, for children whose hearts have yet to be hardened to the world's realities, I offer a world of fantasy where possibilities are limited only to the imagination. Where laughter and love win.
